Service Manager Sales Support Specialist - Marine Service (m/f/d) The work model for the role is: hybrid (#LI-Hybrid) Key responsibilities As a sales support specialist, you will be responsible for preparing competitive bids for medium- and large-scale projects for our shipowner and port customers. You will work closely with the sales engineers to ensure proposals are both technically sound and strategically aligned with business goals. The position is based in Hamburg. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Collaborate with sales engineers to define solutions for shipowner and port customers.
- Create offers that align with both the technical and strategic aspects of the business.
- Pre-dimension subsystems, consult internal and external suppliers, and calculate service volumes for the primary work to be executed.
- Identify potential risks and develop costed contingency plans.
- Draft technical and commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
- Conduct site audits to gather essential information for preparing accurate offers.
- Participate in internal presentations (e.g., risk reviews, Gate reviews, Go/No-Go decisions, bid reviews) and support external presentations (e.g., sales meetings, trade fairs) alongside sales engineers.
- Completed training in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology, or alternatively a degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable technical qualification (e.g., Technician in Electrical Engineering).
- Extensive knowledge in the fields of variable drive technology, automation, high and low voltage electrical engineering, and process engineering.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and proficient in German (both written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working with customers and interdisciplinary teams.
