What does the role entail?

As a Food Product Developer (m/f/d) you are part of our Food Tech & Product Development Team and play a crucial role in developing food products from concept to launch, focusing on creativity, feasibility, and consumer appeal.

Your tasks include:

• Generating and developing new product concepts based on market trends, consumer insights, and company strategy.
• Formulating recipes using both available and new ingredients, ensuring alignment with nutritional, sensory, and cost requirements.
• Ensure product designs meet regulatory compliance , food safety standards , and su stainability requirements.
• Conducting bench-top trials and small-scale prototype production .
• Collaborate with team members and business partners for shelf-life studies , s tability testing, and f ood safety compliance , as well as on designing and improving processes across different production scales.
• Design , conduct , and evaluate sensory evaluation panels to gather feedback for product optimization.
• Working closely with marketing for product presentation, positioning, claims, and packaging requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for product development processes , formulations , and t rial results.
• Liaise with suppliers to source new raw materials and e valuate ingredient performance .
• Stay informed on food trends , ingredients , and emerging technologies .

What skills and experiences should you bring to the table?

• Completed studies ( B.Sc., M.Sc. ) in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or related field or a comparable education with relevant professional experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in food product development or R&D in the food industry .
• Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and food processing.
• Hands-on experience in lab/kitchen environments and product testing.
• Good communication , organization , and documenta tion skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) ; German language skills are a plus.
• High interest in novel ingredients and alternative proteins.
• Passion for sustainability and the future of food .
• Creative , curious , and open-minded.

1st of November 2025 (earlier possible)
