(Senior) Consultant Defence (all genders)

In this role, you take ownership in client engagements, expand strategic topics, and actively contribute to the development of our practice.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of complex digital transformation projects in highly regulated and security-sensitive environments , contributing to both strategic planning and operational implementation.

• Act as a trusted advisor to defence clients , including Bundeswehr, BAAINBw, and other defence institutions, understanding their needs and helping translate them into actionable digital solutions.

• Conduct in-depth analyses, prepare recommendations, and develop proposals that support client decision-making and project execution.

• Contribute to building and maintaining strong client relationships , supporting business development efforts and helping identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.

• Support the development and refinement of the firm’s service offerings for the defence ecosystem, leveraging market insights and emerging trends.

• Assist internal leadership in aligning go-to-market strategies, and positioning of the firm within the defence sector.

Who you are

In addition to being an analytical thinker with strong social and communication skills , curious, and a collaborative team player , and demonstrating a high degree of personal initiative and an entrepreneurial can-do mentality, you possess the following distinguishing qualities:

• You thrive on digitalization and have a genuine passion for information technology.
• You hold a top-level academic degree (Master, MBA, or PhD) and love applying your knowledge strategically.
• You think ahead, anticipate challenges, and shape long-term initiatives with confidence.
• You have a strong grasp of core business and commercial processes , turning insights into action.
• You are well-versed in consulting methodologies and tools , using them to deliver impact.
• You bring defense expertise , with familiarity in military structures, BAAINBw, and NATO frameworks.
• You have hands-on experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), capability management, procurement, and project control.
• You are knowledgeable in public procurement, legal frameworks, CPV codes , and market exploration procedures.
• You have a solid technical understanding of military infrastructure , platforms, and logistics systems.
• You either hold or are willing to obtain security clearance and take confidentiality seriously.
• You are flexible and ready to travel to meet the needs of the role.
• You are fluent in German and English, and additional languages (e.g., French, Ukrainian) are a bonus.
