We're now looking for a Backend Engineer (intermediate level) to join us — someone with solid experience building backend services in Java, who wants to contribute to a meaningful, people-focused product. You’ll work closely with product and design, help shape technical decisions, and bring features to life that have a real impact on the employee experience across companies.

What we’re looking for:

• Your background : At least 3 years of hands-on backend development experience, ideally in fast-paced product teams
• Tech skills: Strong skills in Java and Spring Boot — you’re confident building and maintaining backend services. Experience with SQL databases (ideally PostgreSQL), comfortable working with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments

• Your approach: You care about writing clean, maintainable code — following best practices like testing, static code analysis, monitoring, and more

• Teamwork: A team player, who takes responsibility for what they do and who is able to collaborate and share knowledge with excellent communication skills in English
• Curiosity: We welcome your ideas to enhance our products. You should be eager to learn about new technologies, especially the use of AI and how we

What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain backend services in Java + Spring Boot, with a strong focus on performance and reliability

• Help shape and evolve our microservice architecture, contributing to backend decisions in a growing team
• Using the shape up method and agile principles to develop the best possible software, while engaging in technical discussions and product decisions
• Helping define, test, monitor, and operate the product end-to-end — from the first idea to running it in production

👩🏼‍💻Remote/hybrid role: We value flexibility and teamwork. If you live within a commutable distance from one of our office locations, we require you to work on-site at least one day per week, with Wednesdays as the designated in-office day. While Wednesday is the minimum, we recommend spending 2 (or more) days in the office each week. For those further away, we look forward to seeing you two days per month during our team events to foster collaboration and team spirit
