UI Designer (f/m/x)

Your mission

As a UI Designer at exmox, you’ll help shape the User Interface and Experience of our mobile first B2C product. You’ll join a growing design team within the product department, where your work will directly impact how users experience our platform.

You’ll craft polished, responsive, and accessible interfaces that align with our brand, working closely with developers and product managers in an agile environment. From early concepts to functional prototypes and handoffs, you’ll own the full user interface and design system of our product.

Your key responsibilities

• Design visually engaging UIs for our mobile app, ensuring usability, accessibility, consistency, and scalability.
• Deliver production-ready assets, specs, prototypes, and documents to developers and support them during implementation.
• Build, maintain, and own our evolving design system.
• Design illustrations, icons, and other graphical elements needed for your designs.
• Owning the UX writing in products, ensuring a consistent and engaging style and tone.
• Define and own a visual language, ensure consistency across teams and products.
• Perform design reviews, making sure the implementations align with the designs.
• Team up with our researcher and data team to quickly gather feedback on your design and iterate on it as needed.

In the next year, you’ll play a major role in launching new product features and shaping the foundation of our design system.

Your profile

• 2–5 years of experience designing for mobile and web, ideally for B2C mobile apps.
• A portfolio that demonstrates outstanding visual design, branding, and UI craft, especially on mobile, and preferably design systems you worked on in the past.
• Expert-level skills in Figma, including component creation, prototyping, and multi-brand design systems.
• Experience in motion and transition design.
• Experience in graphic design.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in agile product teams.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus

Nice to have

• Experience with designing white-label multi-brand products.
• Awareness of accessibility and usability principles.
• Understanding of how to balance visual flair with performance and usability.
• Experience in the gaming or marketing industry.
• Awareness of design for performance.
• Eagerness to learn and grow with the team. Previous experience working with UX researchers and senior designers.
• Awareness of front-end technologies and how your design is going to be implemented.

Please note: this is not a remote only position, we offer you a flexible hybrid model here in Hamburg, Germany - working from home on Mondays & Fridays, coming to the office on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday!
